I have been Blessed in my life......of this I am sure!
Like most, I have lost my way, changed direction and made a lot of adjustments along the way. I can name a number of people who have changed me....some for the good, some for the bad. To call it a Journey would be correct. There are certain people who are key to me. They have been at the definitive points in my life that have gotten me to where I am.
My parents are no doubt in the forefront. Not only did they give me life....they offered direction and stopped along the way on their very own Journey to help me when I have needed it. Parents are such an important part of anyone's life...perhaps not just 'parents' but parent figures. How do you know what is possible for you in your life if you never experience it? Are we not all just a product of our childhood? Sure we can alter things as we mature, but we always influenced by the Foundation that our parents build for us. THANKS MUM AND DAD!
Although I hate to pollute this article with his name (ex husband), I will give him credit for being a key player. Although he is the key reason why my life did have so many low moments, he is also the reason that I have two of my children and he forced me to be strong. (nuff said about him)
I also think of my dear friend Cynthia. This woman inspires me daily. I happened across Cynthia through a mutual friend and I hit the jackpot! Poor Cynthia got dragged through the mess of my nasty divorce, helped keep me sane and then turned around and acted as my agent when I bought my home! More importantly she guided me along the way, she asked me some difficult questions, and then sent me on my way for the answers. I will give her credit....she already knew that I knew most of the answers. LOL I will say, that everyone needs someone to help you look past the emotion and just do 'the right thing'....because of Cynthia, I can talk about the next person.
At one of the saddest times in my life, I met the most wonderful man that walks this planet. Over the last 14 months, Morgan and I have had a most difficult Journey and also the most fulfilling times of our life. Often we are asked 'how' do you manage.....our answer 'with the right person, anything is possible'. It is just that simple....just that easy. I never really had a 'partner' to lean on, so this is fabulous! Through the difficult times, loves blooms!! My 8 year old son asked me the other day 'Mummy....why are you always soooo happy now?'...my reply 'because I am in love....and because I am loved'. He tilted his little face to me and said 'I love Morgan Mummy...because he makes you so happy'. Wow...I thought I was happy before he said that..ha ha ha . Kids are so tuned into this stuff....its amazing.
